We’re big fans of the School of Motion, a company that provides world-class training in motion animation and design. In their latest podcast episode they interview a Director of Campbell Medical Illustration, Emily Holden, about her path into medical illustration and the type of work that her studio does.

 
 

Emily is a Director at Now Medical Studios (formally Campbell Medical Illustration) in Edinburgh, Scotland. She comes from a fine art background but found herself fascinated by biology and anatomy. Her curiosity and artistic skill led to a career helping clients visualize medical topics for various uses.

In this School of Motion episode, Joey Korenman, chats with Emily to find out about her journey into the medical illustration field and her passion behind it.

 
Annie Campbell

Annie is a medical illustrator and animator who runs Now Medical Studios with her business partner, Emily Holden. Her experiences as an art director, project manager and multimedia artist for various studios and companies in the USA and UK have provided her with a broad range of skills and expertise that she now brings to every project. Annie firmly believes in life long learning and sharing.

One of her passions is sharing the business of medical illustration with younger artists embarking into the field. She founded and is an active contributor of Learn Medical Art with Emily, a channel dedicated to creating and sharing tutorials, articles and resources from the field.
